World Strides Heritage Performance In Orlando

I took another trip with the West Jones High School Show Choir this month. This year we went to Orlando and enjoyed days at Universal Studios, Disney and well, just riding around Orlando trying to get to and from our hotel!

Let me say this..I HATE SIRI.
She is an evil app who really wanted to go to Ocala, instead of where we needed to go, the entire time we were in Orlando.
NEVER did she lead us directly to the location the girls entered into their iPhones, Siri always lead us down the Turn Pike to Ocala!!
Needless to say, we stayed lost most of the trip and Orlando is not a very well marked city.
So, in circles we went..many times..telling the girls.."Oh look there's our hotel..isn't it pretty from this view?"

However, the times we were in Universal and Disney with the kids, we had great fun.
Angie, Marcia and Vanessa kept me in stitches the entire trip..as usual.

The World Strides Heritage Performance was on the last full day of the trip.
The kids did a great job of performing on a very small stage and without risers or backdrops and without their band.
They also received great feedback and helpful instruction from all of the judges.
It was evident by the judges comments that they were impressed with the West Jones group.

After the performance it was time for the kids to get "Wet N Wild" at the water park.
Angie and Keri and I sat that adventure out and Keri and I opted to shop at the Florida Mall which is where our hotel was located.

Sistabelle suffered from either food poisoning or a stomach bug of some sort and spent the last day in our room.
I ate my "Early Alert" supplements like candy and gratefully avoided any illnesses on this trip.

It was a trip full of adventure and lots of laughter!

Below are a few pics from the trip.

Location of what I called the Broomstick Ride

This cool guitar case was located in the Marvel store

Had to save sistabelle at one point

LOVE the expression on the face of one of our parents at the Luau…

Anthony Keidis showed up with fire...

and then he ate it
Keri and Kendra enjoying the dinner and show

One of the luau dancers was behind us on our way to the car and overheard my comment about the identity of the fire eater and asked "Who's Lapedis?"..that was the beginning of our "giggle fest" which lasted for many, many hours!

Getting ready to begin their performance

Just could not manage any good pics of the event in this dark room. But believe me when I say these kids looked great on stage!
